The days of smuggling large quantities of Coors Banquet over the border are long gone and now you can enjoy your favourite beer in the comfort of your favourite watering hole, Provincial Pub.
There is a cool, new company from California making waves in the wine world. Bear Flag Wine not only makes a delicious adult grape juice but they also appreciate creativity and proudly display Eduardo Bertone’s art all over their bottles.
If you follow our Twitter or Facebook, you will know that we love anything and everything that has to do with beer. Food recipes with beer, beer games, and the obvious - drinking beer. Central City Brewery takes brewing beer very seriously, which is why we decided to carry Red Racer at Provincial Pub. Not only did they manage to win Canada's Brewery of the Year in 2010 & 2012 but they are dedicated to being the best, not the biggest. That means you can always expect a consistently high quality product! Go beer!
I often wonder what it is exactly about Jameson whiskey that I hold so dear to my heart. Is it the fact that it has a sweet and sultry taste? Is it the warm feeling in my belly that I get after drinking it? Is it the fact that I feel like I am completely invincible whilst drinking it? Who knows. But one thing I know for sure, is that Jameson makes a hell of a whiskey and I love it.
As restaurant owners, we know how important it is to have great tasting food. We also know that it's nice to enjoy a few meals in the comfort of your home. So for those of you who like to cook and want to bring the taste of Provincial home, we have a nice little Saturday treat in store. Since the response to our blog about Cedric was through the roof, we realized we might have a local celebrity on our hands! To thank all of you for the over-whelming support in the last couple of months, we have decided to share some of famous Cedric's recipes and secrets from our kitchen to yours.
As local Edmontonian's, we know how important it is to have a solid place to party on the weekends. Living in Alberta is sometimes tough; you work long hours and deal with cold weather 80% of the year, so you deserve to kick back and have a little fun on the weekends. And I am here to tell you that we have A LOT of fun on the weekends. So if you are into fun and having a good time, you should stop by Provincial Pub. Our staff will welcome you from the moment you step inside and you will soon have a warm and fuzzy feeling in your belly (although that might be the whiskey talking) whatever it is, it feels great. The point is, Provincial Pub is the best place to be on the weekends and if you don't believe me, just look at these pictures! See you at the Pub.
Well, I think it's safe to say our Albertan themed Grand Opening on February 21st was a massive success! We want to thank each and every one of you that came out to support us in this new chapter of our lives. The night was filled with great people, amazing food by Cedric and of course, the memorable “Big Rock, Paper, Scissors” tournament hosted by hilarious Brett McCrindle. We could not have asked for anything more and can’t wait for the next event. Let the good times roll at Provincial!
Here at Provincial Pub, we are incredibly proud of our delicious food and all the credit goes to lead chef, Cedric Boeglin. Cedric began his career in the hospitality industry in 2004 at the Century Grill bussing tables and bartending. Jeff Jackson was his chef at that time and during the afternoon kitchen prep hours, he would teach Cedric how to clean a variety of fish. “It always seemed so cool to me (being a chef) so one day I decided to exchange my serving shirt and tie for a white chef’s jacket, and I have never looked back.”
Have you ever had the urge to combine your grandma’s favourite game and today’s hottest jams? Well, have we got a night for you! Bingo Tunes on Tuesday night is destined to be your new favourite event. Join hilarious host, Scott Parson’s, for a night of music, laughter and fun. Shake up that dull Tuesday and hit up Provincial Pub’s hottest new night for a hoot of a time!
The time has come to celebrate the glorious grand opening of the Provincial Pub. On this very special night we would like to honor everything that breathes Alberta because we are so proud to call this province our home. Some of you may have had the “pleasure” of growing up in Alberta, others ended up here because of the irresistible oil money or you might have just thought that the name Edmonton sounded uber chic and moved here on a whim. Whatever the reason is, we are all connected because no matter what, we love this crazy province and we are stuck here.
